Meet the Instructor - Mike Dye
"I began line dancing as a novice in 2010 in Las Vegas NV. As time went on and instructors in our class retired, I became the facilitator, and instructor of those classes. I have taught in Senior Adult Centers, Residential Communities, Night Clubs (a bar), and at the Suncoast Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas NV, until the health issues of this decade changed everything. I have contributed to special events for dance and demonstration. I have been involved locally, in the Dallas area, with the fairly substantial line dance community, since 2023.
I remember what it was like to be a beginner, so I have a sensitivity to the concerns of those who are just learning to line dancing. I enjoy helping dancers learn the foundational steps and "Line Dance Jargon" that one needs to become comfortable with, and then to apply them to individual, choreographed dances. I am all about fun, and especially "serious fun".
I hope to promote skill building, knowledge of individual dances, safety, and fun, in order to enhance the atmosphere and activities available at the Fortunata Winery, for teachers and all others wishing to learn to line dance."
